Food
Barabba: We had our New Year’s Eve meal here, and it was a delight. Comforting, but slightly fancy Italian food with a very charming owner. He also owns Propaganda, which was also on my mental list.
Bæst: Incredible Pizza, nestled amidst a few other great restaurants. Have a beer at Brus, then walk over for a slice.
Mirabelle: Beautiful little Italian restaurant next to Baest. The Nørrebro neighborhood is chock full of bars and restaurants to try.
Ved Stranden 10: Amazing little wine bar we went to on the first night we were there, and honestly might have been one of my favorite things we did. Everyone seemed to be a local, and you just tell them what kind of things you like to drink. Their charcuterie boards also did not disappoint.
Esmée: A fancy little spot on one of the main squares. Great for cocktails and a snack. I love anywhere that potato chips and dip are on the bar menu.
Barr: In the old Noma spot, this was the most “nordic” meal we ended up having, and it’s location is beautiful right along the water.
Atelier September: Classic, breakfast/lunch spot. There’s two locations, one in Indre By and another one more north east.
Juno the Bakery: Apparently this has the best baked goods in town. Unfortunately we went on a day that had a two block line outside, so we never made it.
Lille Bakery: Delicious pastries, breakfast and lunch. Simple food that definitely slants Nordic.
Hija de Sanchez: Our saving grace on New Year’s Day. The little sister taco spot to Sanchez.
Jolene: We spent New Year’s Eve night here dancing! Small little club, with great DJs. It’s in an area that has a few clubs and bars, in the meatpacking district.
Jagger: Fancy fast food… if you’re in a hurry and need a sandwich or burger (or a naughty milkshake) this place is not bad.
Brus: Fun brewery next to Baest and Mirabelle
Apollo Bar: Classic little Copenhagen wine bar
Den Vandrette: Across the water from Barr, another little wine bar with snacks
Prolog Coffee: Delicious coffee, and a concise breakfast menu. Really hit the spot after we bailed on Juno the Bakery because of the line.
Pompette: Tiny wine bar in Nørrebro, also has a wine shop
Andersen & Maillard: Bakery that has a few locations around the city
Schønnemann: Super classic Danish food
Propaganda: Sister restaurant to Barabba, has a Korean inspired menu
Sanchez: Out of this world Mexican food

Grundtvig's Church - this is in the city, but just. We walked, which was a mistake, but once we got there it was worth it. A rare example of expressionist church architecture.

The city is small, but not that small when it comes to walking
A lot of restaurants require reservations, which are pretty easy to make online directly on the restaurants websites
